How our cross-border process works
We confirm your pickup, collect the commercial invoice and customs broker details, and submit the electronic manifest before the truck reaches the border. Certified drivers cross through FAST lanes where available, and our dispatch team keeps you updated from pickup to delivery.
What you need to ship across the border
A commercial invoice, your customs broker's contact details and a bill of lading. For regulated goods, the relevant permits or certificates. Our dispatch team will confirm the exact paperwork when you book.
Cross-Border Trucking FAQ
Is Sethi International a certified cross-border carrier?
Yes. Sethi International Trans Inc. is C-TPAT, PIP (Partners in Protection) and FAST certified, which allows faster, lower-risk customs processing at Canada–USA border crossings.
Do you file ACE and ACI e-manifests?
Yes. We submit ACE e-manifests for US entry and ACI e-manifests for Canadian entry before the truck arrives at the border, as required by US and Canadian customs.
Do I need a customs broker to ship to the USA?
In most cases, yes. Your customs broker clears the goods, while we handle the carrier side: the e-manifest, border crossing and delivery. We coordinate directly with your broker.
Which trailers can cross the border?
Our dry van, refrigerated (reefer), flatbed, Roll-Tite and step deck equipment all run cross-border lanes between Canada and the United States.
